I have an MP277 touch panel which I am using to program with TIA 13 SP2. My program has data logging to SD card. The problem is that if ! put the SD card in the slot before I power the panel up, then the panel won't boot up. It just stays blank like it is dead. If however I have the panel already powered up first then I put the SD card in once it's up and running, then everything is fine and the logs work as expected.

What is the solution to this, the site will frequent lose power and can't keep pulling the SD card out to boot up then put it back in when it's running. The SD cards I am using are genuine siemens 2GB freshly opened out the pack. Please Help. 🙏🏼

The 2GB SD cards we purchased are 6AV2181-8XP00-0AX0, and all of them behave the same way in all of the panels (have been through updating 23 panels all to the new firmware and new SD cards and all behave the exact same)

I have since realised that if I leave the screen for 5 minutes after power cycle, eventually it will start. The problem I have then though is the panel does not recognise the card and if operators use the panel to acess alarm logs or trends gives the message that the log is corrupt. If I take the SD card physically out and then put it back in and shutdown and restart runtime then the SD card is recognised again and all logs come up as initialised and okay. This is not workable solution though as the operators not being electricians are not allowed to open panels to access the back at of the HMI to unplug and insert the card again. So every time there is a power blip at the sites, the logs won’t work again.
