KTP700 stuck on boot screen

Down-Tech Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi there. I've tried everything I've found on these forums. My KTP700Basic was working fine, then I had the machine off for a couple months. After power up it stuck on boot screen, says Siemens boot loader: v02.06 2015.09.30 Mac:e0:dc:a0:0e:67:f6 ive tried pro save v14.0.1.0 and can't connect to it. The yellow Ethernet activity led flashing, but can't find device. Pro save doesn't give the option to enter MAC address. I've tried to download the usb recovery file from Siemens, but I am not allowed. I've registered with Siemens and able to log in, but my download request is "manually reviewed" I had no answer for months. How do I get this screen to work again? Thanks in advance!

You can create the USB recovery via TIA Portal also. Insert a USB to your PC and drag-and-drop the HMI project to the stick, inside TIA. TIA will create the recovery and HMI project both, on the stick.

Down-Tech Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I've just tried that and didn't work. It it would work if my HMI would pass the boot screen. I really don't understand why a recovery file is not part of TIA V14. I have to request it from Siemens and then wait forever if someone will manually approve my request. It should be part of V14 or just have a factory reset button on the back of the HMI. I mainly work wit a different brand of plc and the recovery is part of the programming software (I haven't needed it in 14 years).
