i currently have wincc v7.5 sp2 upd 10 running on a server and then we connect though citrix on a remote desktop and use internet explorer to see the winCC project on multiple screens around site. 

i have been asked by IT to change over web browser from internet explorer to edge. but when i try to connect to the server though edge it says i am missing a license.

the current license on the server are 

wincc server 

wincc RC 

wincc data monitor 

wincc user archives 

i know i am missing web navigator license, but my question is do i need this to run on edge and why is it running fine on internet explorer with out this license

using webnavigator, don't have wincc viewer installed on the new desktop as it runs over the browser.

I'm just confused it runs on internet explorer but it asks for a license on edge.
