Late Platinum Member Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 5/11/2025 Posts: 2705 Rating: (321)	Hi Sahoo, Wizard have pinpointed you to a FAQ for the normal CPUs, for the Fail Safe CPUs it is mandatory. Normally the password must be used for Fail Safe CPUs, this is for the F-System the CPU414H and the CPU417H, for distributed safety the CPU416F. With this CPUs it is mandatory that the password is filled in, when the password is not filled in the F-Part couldn't be choosen and would also not works then. For the normal CPUs it is not necessary to do a password protection.
