can you tell us what Interfaces or Protocolls are supported by the OMRON CPU?

This will surely help to answer this question.

I fould 2 possible Interfaces on the Internet, if you have a Interfacemodule with a serial Interface than you can connect on S7 side with a CP 341 or 340 (S7-300) or CP 441-1 (S7-400) with ASCII Protocol or something both are capable of.

If you have an CJ1 Interface you can use a CP 343-1 (S7-300) or CP 443-1 (S7-400) with TCP or UDP Protocol or something both are capable of.

well, this helps a lot. [:)] Now we know this CPU supports PROFIBUS DP, I personally think that it is a DP Master. As the SIMATIC S7 CPUs with DP Interface support both, DP Master and DP Slave functionality, we would not have to care anyway. [;)]

So what you can do is, take the GSD File for the SIMATIC S7 CPU you want to use and import it to the Programming software for the OMRON CPU, configure the “virtual” DP IO of the SIMATIC S7 CPU there for the Slave CPU and do the same in vice versa in HW Config of STEP 7 that way that you have the same IO there but the way that Inputs in the OMRON CPU are Outputs in the SIMATIC S7 CPU a.s.o. That’s actually it. [8)]

Sounds not that difficult, doesn’t it.
