Yalcin Posts: 40 Rating: (1)	Hi, I'm using cpu 3172pndp v2.5 and step 7 v5.5 sp2 I have a frigel ping device and connect it modbus tcp. I already inserted the fb102(modbuspncpu) but I dont know how I read the input registers. I have 4 modbus slave address 1,2,3,4 and how I select the adress and registers codes can anybody help me.. Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (324)	Hallo Yalcin, I think you ,missunderstood a main point. Modbus TCP is a client/server application. One communication partner is the client which sends requests and the other one is the server it responds to requests. ModbusRTU is a serial master/slave protocol, the master sends a request and the slave responds to a request. So client and master are the equivalents and server and slave. When you connect a Protocol converter ModbusTCP / ModbusRTU to a S7 tocommunicate withseveral ModbusRTU slaves, the converter is Modbus master on RTU side. The S7 is Modbus client on TCP side and the converter is server on TCP side. Regards, Kaulquappe
