Deckard78 Posts: 102 Rating: (1)	I think that the best way is to use a bit that is setted by the PLC when a new alarms is coming; with your button, animated with this bit,you may acnowledge the alarm and reset the bit.

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, What you can do (without having to adjust the PLC) is the following: - For each alarm that you have configured in the alarm logging you need to enable the checkmark "Triggers an Action". - At this point a script "gmsgfunc.fct" is triggered each time a alarm changes state. - Open and adjust the script "gmsgfunc.fct" in a why (ie by use of an if statement) to check if the state of the alarm is equal to 1 (1= Come in). - If the state is 1, then change the property of the button, or toggle a binary tag (that's connected to the button). I think you can manage to implement it, if not, just let me know. regards.

You can create an alarm group hierarchy and each group can be assigned a status tag. At the top-level group, the status bit will go high when ANY alarm comes in and return to low when ALL alarms are cleared. I don't know if this is exactly what you want but it's worth reading up on Group Messages in the WinCC manual to see if they suit your purposes. Regards, Salma
