I am trying to simulate a sample modbus client tcp program with modsim , slave tcp simulator.

I am getting an error at satus of modbus client block 80C5 which is PLCSIM unable to communicate remote partner.This same error getting with trying to simulate with modbus poll.Pls let me know  correct modbus settings and pc settings to ensure this communication.

I want to know my setting in DB and PC are correct for this modbus communication.Please refer the Screenshot.

I have checked other posts about this error, how still need to know how to solve this error.Hence I am posing a new thread.

Also attaching the program archive,modsim in the next post below.

TIA Portal v15.1

PLC IP-192.168.0.1

PLC S7 1500

PC IP-192.168.0.24

PLCSIM Advanced? How you did cfg of Virtual hub/port of PLCSIM ADV?

Update: check pls also sim and PLC regsiter value -> sim - 400001, PLC - 40001.

I am using Plcsim V15. 1.

For   my other thread PLCSIM Advanced? How to configure virtual port? I want to know. Only put check mark in Network Adapter properties Virtual Switch Section. What else need to do?

all can be described in PLCSIM Adv documenttaion/manual. Check IPv4 of Virtual adapter if I good remember.

How many MB-Client blocks have you got? I've just finished battling an issue of communicating with 3 different IP servers and 2 of my 3 block had the same Status code.

My issue was that I didn't use the DISCONNECT input (to ensure only 1 Client block was active at a time) so it may be worth trying to toggle this input TRUE/ FALSE to see if the fault code changes to 16#0000 or #7000, or better still #7004-7006..
