Help with C-Script for Word Tags in WinCC Professional

I don't quite understand why it doesnt work. My goal is to check the first bit of a 16-bit Word to see if it is true or false. Here is my current approach: #include "GlobalDefinitions.h" char TagName[30] = ""; WORD WTagName; //copy TagPrefix to TagName //add string strcpy(TagName,GetPrefix()); strcat(TagName,"_REL1_SafetyMask"); WTagName = GetTagWord(TagName); if (WTagName & 0x0001) { return 1; } else { return 0; } Can someone explain if my ccode is correct or if there is a better way to check the first bit of a Word tag? Thank you in advance!

Secondly, you should verify the length of the Tag Name; it should not exceed 30 characters. Apart from that, everything seems to be correct. BR Fess.

For example, if we have 25 characters but I have declared 30, are there then 5 spaces? And because of that, the correct tag is not accepted. Also, mention that I have tested this function.
