Morning all,

I have an IOT2050 device and now have a use for it 

I am after connecting it to a system to capture / push data from using MODBUS tcp protocol.  Recognise I could use Node Red.....but have been unsuccessful in the past, what other options do I have?

Thanks for the responses; which MODBUS node did you use on node red?  This might be the problem there are so many options.

Also probably my lack of MODBUS knowledge; is there a slave simulator I could setup on my PC that I can run and connect to with noder red to prove connectivity etc.

For slave simulator, you can try Diagslave:

Find included two sample flows using the node-red-contrib-modbus library.

The sample connects to an S7-1500 CPU running as Modbus TCP server.

The ANxx sample shows some more code as examples.
