Hello,

• 2 wires transmitter is powered by the loop current.
• 4 wires transmitter is powered by an external supply.

• You can connect 2 wires transmitter to 4 wires transmitter analog input module.

• You can't connect 4 wires transmitter to 2 wires transmitter analog input module.

SIr, 

    It means I cannot use one 4-20mA cable in 2 wire transmitter. 

 As per our previous conversation, I Can use 2 wire transmitter to 4 wire AI Input module. So it it safe to select all the channels to 4 wire so it can do both transmitter.

• You can connect 2-wires transmitter to 4-wires transmitter analog input module as in the attached photo(if you not able to set the analog module to be used for 2-wires transmitter)                
•  In your case it is possible to set the channels for 2-wires transmitter or 4-wires transmitter

Hello everyone, 

                         I have a Analog card which is configured to D channel(I.e. 2wire tranmitter). I want to connect pressure switch feedback(4-20mA). Now I am confused how to connect in analog card. Please suggest me the connection. 

Pressure switch 24VDC and OV given and its DI feedback is used in ET station. Now only one cable is free in connector i.e. 4-20mA cable. Please describe me in brief I can connect or not in AI card.

 Sir I have checked the drawing my only question is in 2 wire transmitter no need of external supply as it this drawing it is seen like that. 

 if I got you yes - 2 wire transducer do not need external supply

 It means if 24V external supply is used in any transmitter, it can 4 wire transmitter? 

 I think yes  if exist  external supply there will be 4 wire transmitter. But i think if you use 4 wire transmitter connect tramitter M to your power supply M (If they are using power from different power supplies)

 I just want to know If I am using knick amplifier card for conversion of 4-20mA to +-10V and I just connect its +side to AI card(which is configured in Channel B) TB no. 2 and its negative to AI card TB no. 3. Does it provide reading or not?
