Hi all,
I am using Simatic Step7 V5.4 ( With SP3).
I am new to the concept of SITRANS & EDD files.
Can anyone tell me, how do we configure a SITRANSusing Simatic Step7 software.
Moreover, what is an EDD file and where is it located.
I need to make an AI - HART Module(6ES7331-7TF01-0AB0) communicate with a SITRANS using an EDD file ofVersion 1.1.8.
How should i go about it.?

About EDD file (Electronic Device Description), you need PDM software. And after successfully installation of this software you must import actual EDD file for your device, using the "Manage device catalog" function. About configuration in Step7 look at PDM Software Also look how this be done in PCS7 - Connecting a SITRANS P (DS series) to PCS7 via a PROFIBUS PA - communication

If you look at part 9.8 in manual from previous my thread, PDM sofware can be work like separate software or to be integrirate in other software. In both case you need to order it separate. For example:
