ABHIJIT PUNE Posts: 55 Rating: (0)	Hello Friends, I am programming for winder application, with CPU314C & 6RA80 drive. In winder application diameter goes on increasing with each revolution, I read few documents regarding diameter calculation , it suggested for division method of diameter calculation and intgration method for diameter calculation. Does anyone used integration method for diamter calculation? any sample code or guideline/clue...!!! -----Abhijit

Marko Bursic Posts: 1410 Rating: (154)	Software solution isn't reliable. Why don't you put a displacement sensor? What is the goal of your winder app - do you need to control tension or just speed? What possibility does the drive has - speed, torque, positioning control?

Avinash Amberkar Member Joined: 7/21/2017 Last visit: 6/10/2022 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	You can try this simple method Coil Diameter = [(Material thickness2) Number of count of rotation] + Mandrel diameter. Number of rotation count can be calculated using Proximity switch.
