Up/Down Counter Using Network Input Problems

TexasIH Member Joined: 7/7/2021 Last visit: 12/10/2021 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	What I am trying to do? I have an IR sensor that senses bubbles in fluid. If a bubble passes the sensor then it will send a DI signal to the LOGO. I have verified this is working using an ethernet connection and outputting the data to a csv file. The problem is that the logosoft excel addin will only work every second so I am loosing data. I have attempted to fix this with a counter and can then hopefully output the counter data. Can an expert please tell me why I can not get the counter to work with a network input? It does seem to work fine if I use a regular input and run in simulation mode. When I am connected to the logo I can see the NI13 block turning red when a bubble passes the sensor but the counter doesn't count? Also is it possible to upload the counter data to a csv file instead of the raw data from the NI? I really appreciate any help you can provide or if you have an easier way for me to accomplish logging the data from the bubble count DI sensor in a csv. Thanks! Why do you have a slave LOGO! in use or why do you use the master/slave method? Describe exactly which LOGO!s you are using and why you have chosen the master/slave method.

ixo65 Grandmaster Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 1/12/2026 Posts: 36439 Rating: (4547)	I made a test with a LOGO!8.FS4 as master and a 0BA8.Standard as the slave. The counter in the master LOGO! counts without problems the NI form the slave LOGO!. See attached screen video. Attachment Count digital network input from slave LOGO!.zip (465 Downloads)

My question now is can this be output to a CSV file? In other words how do you send and store block data?

In online mode were only the output value updated. LOGO! can't write directly in a csv file. For this you can use the data log function. The LOGO! writes the data log as a csv file on a mSD card if a mSD card is inserted into the LOGO!.
