Siemens Industrial OS 2.1.1 Default Credentials

daniel.dalli Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have new IoT2050 devices, which out of the box are running Siemens Industrial OS 2.1.1. The example image is not loading since it is automatically booting into Siemens' OS. The IoT is not discoverable on the network through the 192.168.200.1 IP. I need to change the boot priority to load the OS from the SD card, however the default credentials (user and password) are required to log in the Siemens OS . 'root'/'root' credentials are not being accepted. Does anyone know the default credentials for Siemens Industrial OS 2.1.1? Alternatively if there is an alternate way to change the boot order without logging in, it would suffice. Thank you.

When you boot the Industrial OS for the first time you should end up in a configuration, where you can setup users/password, network interfaces, etc. So there is no need to know any credentials. If this setup does not appear and the IOT "gets stuck" at the localhost login, please try a reboot via the RESET button. Unfortunately this needs to be done in order to change the boot order from the Industrial OS. An alternative is using an UART cable to establish a serial connection. With that you can change the boot order before booting into the OS.
