Hi, 

I have flashed the Example Image on the SD card in my IoT2050 and changed the boot order. The Node-red in the image has been automatically deployed but there is no S7 node. I tried to install s7 node with "npm install node-red-contrib-s7" online (Net confirmed ok), but it failed and crashed my Node-red. So I had to re-flash a fresh Image on the SD card.

Is it possible to install it offline? Or is there other solution?

I just tried to install the node S7 from the source code. I downloaded it as a zip and unzipped it into a folder named "node-red-contrib-s7". Then I copied the folder to the path "/usr/lib/node_modules" and reboot. Subsequently, I opened the nodered in the browse, there is no S7 node. And I checked the "Manage Palette", the S7 node exists, but an error is present: "Error: Cannot find module '@st-one-io/nodes7' (line:42)". So how can I solve it?

Hello, 

Yes it appaears you have some unmet dependencies. It's actually the easiest if you install the node over manage palette in node-red directly (internet connection on IOT required). Alternatively I would suggest running

npm install node-red-contrib-s7@2.2.1

on a linux machine, then transfering the contents of node_modules as you did. This node package does not cointain source code which has to be compiled so it should work out just fine.

sorry, but I need to correct Fe_lipe. The version 2.2.1 is only necessary for the IOT2040. 

The new Example Image V1.1.1 has the s7 node pre-installed, maybe it's worth to try this. 

Why the installation failed before is hard to say. I did not have any problems with the s7 node in the IOT2050 so far.
