i have gone through few posts regarding real to int but didn't understand the point. if someone guides me in the right way.

I have successfully communicated  XYZ coordinates data from PLC to ABB robotic controller. For robot to understand the correct data there is a need of DWord data format transfer over comm channel Profinet to DeviceNet. 

The problem is at Conv Block. Real data is converted to DInt before swap (PLC Big endiannes, IRC5 Little endianness, and SWAP block use DWord format ). Conv block converts "53.25"  to 52 and converts "53.67" to 54. 

If i make Conv block with Real to DWord and swap the results are not correct. 

At the robot end, i can't play freely because the data at the robot will be recieved as analog input. and once the values are rounded off at the conv block, dividing or multiplying with 10^n would'nt bring the actual value back.

hope i use simple sentences to make my issue easily understandable..

A liitle trick we often used:

Your robot needs a setpoint with 2-decimal precision to operate corrrctly, something like 53.74?

In your PLC, multiply the setpoint 53.74 by 100.0, to change it to 5374.0, and convert it to a DINT 5374. Transfer that value to the robot, and let the robot controller convert this value to a REAL, 5374.0 then divide by 100.0, to obtain 53.74.

2 Decimal point data i shared as an example, But i got your idea.

The set point data could be 2 decimal, 3 decimal or 4 decimal depending on the size of job.

hope I understand you correctly. Simply with Endian system you need swap BYTE element not WORD only as you did, as I understand your words. So in each WORD you need swap BYTEs. Try count value at end if it's correct. In other case try then also swap WORDs in DWORD data type but I don't know, you need be very careful with count. I think your problem is DINT data type because you simply can't correctly deduce back how must look your original REAL value in my opinion. I think that DWORD or better say BYTE data type need be used for communication generally.

 Could you describe what above means to you ? Especially, what data type is "as analog input" thing.
