SIMATIC IOT2050 SD-Card example image installation problem

yasge Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello there, I load and mount the SIMATIC IOT2050 SD-Card example image file on the sd card with Win32DiskImager. However, the Stat led stays on for 15 seconds and then turns off completely. Shouldn't the stat green led blink continuously? (I can't connect via ethernet with Putty either.) https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109780231 09.09.2021 Is it possible to have a problem with version 109780231_IOT2050_Example_Image_V1.1.1.zip (658.6 MB)(SHA-256) dated? I have used many different sd cards but could not understand the problem.

bergmanu Platinum Member Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 1/15/2026 Posts: 3345 Rating: (382)	Hi, seems you are using an IOT2050 Advanced with pre-installed Industrial OS. The first boot device is the eMMc, so the IOT2050 won't boot from SD card. Check out this guide how to proceed. Best regards!
