Hi guys: :

I have to implement a project with a CPU 1214C . I have to regulate  the position of a low speed cylinder with a proportional valve that receive  a bipolar signal of 10V, ( 10v signal imply maximum speed).

The position feedback will be an encoder connected to the HSC designated inputs.  I have to specify the position where I have to go with an HMI. I have TIA Portal 16 software.

i would like a recommendation about what technological block is best to use or any other idea so I have a point to start. No sure if PID use is the best approach. thanks for any help .

It seems to be is more appropriated to use MC-Preservo (OB67) and MC - Post Servo (OB95) to control a proportional valve,  It's available for   S7-1200 CPU v4.2 or higher in TIA Portal v16. I must install Siemens Global Library where a whole powerful set of instructions are available  .  Thanks  

I'm looking for info about using the MCPreServo and MC-PostServo Modules in s7-1200 , I found a pretty good document with an example for S7-1500 but  I'm looking for similar example for S7-1200 so I can open the example in TIA Portal . Any advice. Thanks in advance for the help.
