Has anyone had success integrating a Modbus RTU device using a gateway? I have an Omega CN7500 temperature controller that can communicate via Modbus RTU RS485, and was eyeing the Moxa MGate MB3180 as a gateway between the two controllers.

I am having trouble reading an analog temperature value from a CN7500 temperature controller through the MB3180 gateway. The CN7500 controller manual states the Address of the process value is 1000H, and everything I've read online says to try the binary number (4095 / 95) instead, but neither address works.

All of the settings within the MB3180 Gateway match the CN7500 controller and the gateway is able to auto-detect the CN7500, but getting the value into the LOGO is where the problem occurs.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I have the Modbus enabled. The part that is confusing for me is in the Omega manual they reference the function codes 03H, 06H, 02H, and 05H. Would these have to be added to the beginning of the address so the Omega knows what trying to do with the address? Either read/write the value to that specific address?

Are there any ways I can test the Omega controller without the plc to see if the problem lies within the Omega or in my LOGO logic?

Got it to work by using 2 word and an address of 4097.
