Hello All,

I am creating an Electro-Pneumatic system with a double acting cylinder. I require the cylinder to extend and retract for 5 cycles and stop. I am using an LOGO to control the Solenoid Valve. I have made a start with the LOGO program but need some help with how to tell the LOGO to stop after the 5 cycles have completed. I also have an external counter which needs to count up to 5 and not sure how I would implement this on the program to automatically reset after it reaches the number 5.

Does the cylinder have limit switches?

Or do you just drive in and out at fixed times?

I want it to drive in and out at fixed times. The stroke length is 300mm and it should extend within 1 second and retract within 1 second.

Thank you for your answer. i understand your diagram. Just one last question. Is there a way to program it without an stop button. The operator will start the program and say it was to run 500 cycles and stop by itself. I also have an green led that needs to be on while the cycles are running.
