Can we do conversion/ calculation.

Herz to RPM then to speed....like car Kilometres per hour or Mile per hour...?

I think the car engine Flywheel rotate in herz convert to RPM  convert to wheel RPM and the car speeding could calculated to KM/H.

No, why you not understand what the user wants.

He will measure the time in a resolution of 0,001s. 

 Finally he really need to know speed. You stuck only time, not speed that he need in final result.

Since the LOGO! the temporal resolution which he does not want, the rest is uninteresting because he can't use the LOGO! for his project.

That's why he asked in the split topic whether an S7-200 can handle the resolution of 0.001s.

 A period of 1 Millisecond is equal to 1 000 Hertz frequency.

Can you calculate what time duration of 1 Hertz..?

Why you still limit yourself to use only the stopwatch function only....??? Are you real expert..??

The aim is to measure speed. We have two optical sensors mounted next to each other on fixed distance 50mm.

There is a mechanical lever which movement breaks the sensor light beams.

,, the task is set and a logo is overwhelmed.In this case, frequency detection is useless.

 I measuring water flow using flow sensor with this function and so I can calculate water flow speed. This is practical and been in real use for many years. I do not know the very slow and small pulse like 0-1 then no more pulse can make this function work or not. If too few pulse to measure then it may not work.

This is just my idea. I do not know his machine in details.
