Hello, I'm new to Siemens and have run into a problem with my PLCSIM.  I am using v 5.4 sp8 (I think).  When I open a project and start the Sim the "Sim" Screen will pop up, load the default variable tables then it will immediately close the "Sim" window.  It will also do this even if I do not have a project loaded or if I try to open the PLCSIM by itself on the screen.    

Has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix for this?

following steps helps alot for different things with PLCSIM V5.4, maybe its worth a try

-  download the latest version V5.4 + SP8 + Upd1

- uninstall PLCSIM V5.4 via windows control panel

- restart the PC

- install the latest version

I have had also some issues with PLCSIM classic in the past. My experience was, the uninstall + restart is necessary. I also did only the update, but it did not work out in my case.
