Dear Experts,

I have a project with 200 DI , 85 DO , 35 AI and 20 AO . I am planning to use S7 1500 with the following IO models :

1. DI 32x24V      QTY 7

2. DO 32x24V    QTY 3

3. AI 8 channel   QTY 5

4. AO 8 channel QTY 4 

I am confusing about the power supply modeles , how much a number of power supply models i need ? and how to distribute them ? .

Kindly can any one help me ? .

When placing the PS modules in the rack (in TIA Portal or TIA Selection Tool), keep from overloading the bus voltages by inserting PS modules strategically to the left of the 1st (or 2nd module) to the left of whichever I/O module consumes more watts that are available.

Keep adding PS modules as you add I/O modules to keep things away from the limits.

I recommend 2 modules to the left of the limit to add a little safety margin, but as you gain experience, you may find certain I/O module allocations work reliably with just 1 module to the left of the "red" overload slot (shown in above posted images from other helpful forum user).
