i have SIMATIC ET 200S distributed I/O IM 151-8 PN/DP CPU password protected .

i am unable to reset the memory card .

my question is if i insert new memory card then i can download new project into PLC or i have to reset the plc first.?

I just want to remove password protection and download new program.

Hi srokade24,

the password is stored on the memory card. With a new memory card, you can use the PLC without a protection. If you have a SIMATIC Field PG or an SIMATIC Prommer you can delete the memory card on the PC.
