Controlling the machine completely with LOGO!Soft Comfort V8.3

abbasfasih Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello Everyone , We are currently using the Siemens LOGO! 12/24 RCE - 6ED1052-1MD08-0BA1 with Software LOGO!Soft Comfort V8.3 for the automation of our tape laying machine. We have different parameters for the machine which include the machine movement, tape cutting, pressing of tape using a pressure roller. Each parameter will move from point A to B and then back from B to A or turn On/Off and for this we have the reed sensors at each point to detect the points. Everything is wired in the siemens logo logic and expansion module. My question is we want to operate each of these parameters completely through the programmed siemens software by turning them ON or OFF in the software. In the simulation part of the software, one can do that anytime. However, when connecting it with the machine and bringing it in the RUN MODE, we dont have any control over the input buttons anymore. Which means, I cannot turn it on an off while the RUN Mode is in operation. You can just automate it with respect to time and turn the whole program ON or OFF once, but not each parameter individually in a single program like in simulation. Also,we dont have any buttons or switches at the machine to operate it manually after programming. If anyone could help me as to how can control and turn each parameter on/off while the software is connected with the machine, that would be a big help. Best regards

If you want to do it physically you need a button/push button to activate those inputs. You can use the LOGO! Look in the manual: LOGO! Constants and connectors

Best regards Use you cursor keys in your program? If yes then note: By the real LOGO! you must press the combination of ESC key and the programmed cursor key. Press first ESC key, hold them and then press the cursor key.
