I have encountered the following problem with Step7, can anyone help?

For some reason the HW Configuration window of Step7 terminates with an error whenever I try to open the HW configuration.

This is old PLC backup/system, and we are going to upgrade as per Safety system norms.

This PLC backup normally open in Simatic manager in PG, without safety software.

But when we tried to open in Safety installed PG, HW configuration window having the above error. 

We had tried following but can't success...

1. Reinstall the GSDL files in S7bin.

2. Reinstall the Simatic Manager

Please support us to resolve the issue

in my experience, many of those messages can be solved by using the latest servicepacks + hotfixes for the specific used base version of STEP 7.

Which version are you using exactly?

Hi,

the latest version here is V5.6 + servicepack 2 + hotfix 9.

Maybe this will solf this issue. You do not need a new license for that
