Dear experts,

I never though I would ask this question but here I am. Today I went to commission a G120C and for this application I need to:

DI1 - Star Motor

DI2- Jog 

DI3- Jog Reverse

So I started the the drive, did the quick commissioning. And change the parameter P2030 from 3 to 0 so the BF red led turned off.

Then I went to change or check the parameters:

P0840 and it appear like this:

P840 [00]

r2090.0

when I change the [00] to [01] I think below I should get r722.0 but no I only get a cero.

So I decided to move foward and configure the JOGs

P1055 I change it to 1 and it let me configure the r722.1 and the same with the P1056 to r722.2 but when I come back to them they are P1055 in 0 and P 1056 in 0.

So I wonder what I am missing. In the P0840 I should be able to get the r722.0.

I checked the wiring and I am using 9 for 24V and a bridge among 28, 69 and 34.  Like it states in https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109783087

I did a factory reset and nothing. Should I change the 2030 back to 3?

Try this: 

P840:0 = 722.0, run command

P1036:0 = 722.1, ramp down

P1035:0 = 722.2, ramp up

Thoughts:

To remove Profibus protocol set P2030 = 0, copy ram to rom, and cycle power

The thing is that in the P0840 I don't get the r722.0 but instead I get the r2090.0. I think that's where the problem is.

I'll try ram to rom and cycle power and let you know.

I just read about the P0015 the macro should be 12. I bet it is in 12 already. I will check that too. 

And in other CU models the P0700 determine whether the command source is the inputs or protocol. I have to check that one too. 

Macro 15, this may be a method to do this.

To change this:

P10 = 3, 

P15 = 15

P10 = 0

DI 3 must be high, link to terminal 9 will permanently MOP, (Motor Potentiometer).

T5 will be run

T16 (DI4) will be MOP up

T17 (DI5) will be MOP down

I just read about the P0015 the macro should be 12. I bet it is in 12 already. I will check that too.

P15 set to 12, is factory setting, selection for USS or CAN Bus, not for your application.

If your device is a Profibus unit it may default to this after factory setting, Unless you have set P2030 to 0.

This statement is correct for Micromaster MM440, this is different for Sinamics G120C.

Here (in G120C) r700, is looking at the digital inputs; and to get a run command, P840 is set to r720:0.

Well I used the macro 9 (P0015 = 9) and I was able to start the motor from DI1 and to MOP up and MOP down DI2 y DI3. 

The thing is I need to use the JOGs and when I go to the 1055 and 1056 it is missing now the r722. It appear like this:

P1055 [00]

             0

Is there a way to enable it so it appear the r722?
