Hi everyone!

A quick question, if I upload a station from PLC (S7-300 CPU 315-2 PN/DP) to PG/PC (using SM v5.7) and the OB does not upload the symbols to the PC. If I make modifications to the OB (i.e., changing a value to a counter block) and then downloading the OB to PLC, would it cause any issues since it did not have any symbols?

One more question, are symbols just names assigned to the addresses for our own understanding?

The symbols (S7300 and S7400) are not allocated on PLC. (only CODE)
They are in your PG/PC Project.
It is the project documentation.

You can upload the program, change it, and download without problems 👍

Obs.
This change when you are working on S71200 and S71500.
In this case all symbols are also allocated in the PLC.
