Hi,

I was trying to connect an interface module with a new S71500 CPU1511-1PN FW 2.8 and interface module is ET200SP IM155-6PN BA FQ 3.2. As I was not able to do it at site I bought the CPU and interface module with one DI module to test from office. Created a  test project with S71500 PLC and Interface module with DI module and server module. Configured same subnet ip address ie 172.17.3.33 in PLC and 172.17.3.40 in subnet, connected each devices from network view and port connected as same as real in topology view. After downloading both devices showing red indication and Interface module and DI module's green led flashing. when I check the diag buffer of PLC it says 

"Error: IO device failure - PROFINET device name problem at IO device" Any advice is highly appreciated

I have done a reset of the interface module and assigned the profinet name as mentioned and yes its working now... :)
