I have a problem in site...PLC panel was working perfectly for one year after that there was a short circuit in the next cabinet of PLC . then PLC and IM rack showing SF and BF fault

now we have downloaded the original backup to PLC and still showing the error we have tried the following methods

1.changed profibus cable

2.changed dp connector

while online it is showing "dp slave not ready for data exchange yet"

also I have attached the diagnostic buffer and system pic please guide to troubleshoot this issue

There is no comm. between PLC and IM so OB122 is called by system[BF LED]. There is SF fault on IM so chek by replacing IM.

All the IO modules attached to the IM station is showing not accessible by a red strike while online.I tried to configure one by one module in software only. I will try arranging one by one modules in panel also.

only recommendation to future, be carefuly before download to make some comparing of blocks inside PLC and with backup. You never know... Also another backup creating before download is higly recommended for sure if you don't have original project. In case of some DIP switches on modules, look carefuly to that switches correctly set up as addresses to be needed.

Yes we have original backup that is  not an issue and we have cross checked the DIP switches. now I wanna make sure the problem is with the ETM200 module or IO's as none of the IOS attached to the station not accessible

I have resolved the issue ..The problem was 3 modules were faulty in the expansion rack

I have done the following method to troubleshoot the issue

Created new project with new hardware configuration

removed all modules from expansion rack

configured with one by one modules and found 3modules faulty from the rack and replaced with spare modules and now the system is running with no errors

Just for the information, It may help to the people in forthcoming days,

I also had the same issue. I'm using S7-417-4 CPU Station with CP 443-5 as Master in the network.

We are having so many "Tesys T" and "Danfoss drives" in our Profibus network.

When i monitored through online it showed the same error at Slave diagnostics.

So, I checked the I/O module inserted in the slots of the slave unit. It was wrong. Then, i changed it with right one according to the field device supportability. finally, i did the compile and download again.

The Error was gone and its communiacted well.

So, The I/O module should be the right compatible one to your field device also it should adopt to the type of communication. (Local, Remote)

I had a very similar fault to this and resolved using the same method as above.

Each module came back as good when checking individually but when the rack was assembled as a whole we found cards 9/10/11 all at fault. 

We found the link plug between base modules in Slots 8/9 faulty. Replaced the plug and now working all okay.
