Hi experts,

I have a project where I want to get dat from 14 S7 controllers via S7 connection, 13 EthernetIP controllers, and 2 Modbus TCP controllers.

That would sum 14 S7 connections and 15 UDP connections.

Could one single S7-1511 CPU handle it?

Max possible connections via integrated interfaces (without CM/CP) = 88
Reserved for other Communication = 10

-> 78 connections can be used dynamically

These are shared ressources, it doesn't matter if Modbus/EthernetIP (all based on OUC) or S7-communication.

The CPU that I'll use is the 6ES7511-1AL03-0AB0 SIMATIC S7-1500, CPU 1511-1 PN.

I saw that for S7 routing there 16 resources available.
But do S7 routing and S7 connections use the same resources?
