I am student Intern and I am planning to build a setup having potentiometer attached to PLC. So, for that I wanted to know How to connect Schneider Electric XB5, Tafelmontage Dreh Potentiometer 10kΩ ±10% / 1W , Schaft-Ø 6 mm to 6ES7531-7KF00-0AB0 siemens analogue input module and the input module to S7 1500 PLC? 

Further any ideas along with voltage how can I measure the angle of rotation?

Single or multi-turn POT?  Full rotation from 0-10kΩ, or partial rotation?

Do you have a voltage source, like say, 24VDC, available, and perhaps some precision fixed resistors to allow the POT to be at 0Ω and not burn it up, yet allow the PLC to sink the proper amount of current at the analog input?

Voltage divider, some elementary electrical engineering (or high school physics), and researching the PLC analog input module technical specifications will get you far in your current assignment.

Remember, 1W @ 0Ω could be a great deal of current if not limited in some way.  I wonder how you might find that limit?

I think you need put like something this (DC/DC converter) link to WAGO

Then later connect your potentiometer something like this:

and later in program if you need see what angle is set potentiometer use block NORM_X SCALE_X

We have voltage source and it comes with a with an integrated resistor.

Depending on how the POT and knob are mounted, the starting angle can be anything.

If you want it from 0-2π rather than 0-360º, it's really a matter of scaling the input voltage from 0 to full range of the pot using NORM_X and SCALE_X to output either 0-2π or 0-360º (or both with 2 SCALE_X blocks).  This was provided in a previous reply.

Are you perhaps a German speaker? Do you know that there is a German language forum?

As a student, we assume you already know how to have the 10kohm potentiometer give a variable signal from 0V to 10V without putting more than 1W power on the potentiometer. Now that variable 10V signal can be connected to the analog card. In turn the card is configured to measure the 0 to 10V analog.

Consider speaking to your mentor if there is something that is not clear. After that please ask very specifically what you want us to help you with. We can however not do your homework assignment for your -- you have to show effort.
