KTP 700 reachable but unable to download to it

I have a problem with one KTP 700 panel that is reachable, TIA portal finds it, but when I try to download to it, I get an error message that the panel cannot be reached.(I will attach a picture later when I get back to the office). This problem started after I had to downgrade the firmware because the project was made in Tia portal v13. The firmware upgrade went smoothly and the panel reset after the firmware was updated like allways, but from then on I can't dowload to it. Any one ever experienced something like this? Any info on how to solve it would be great as I have to replace a broken panel with this one. Thakn you. Cheers. Aleix

I recommend that you try to communicate through Ethenert and that you carry out the typical checks that are discussed in the following FAQ that I share with you, to see if there may be something wrong: "Why can you not transfer the HMI configuration to the panel?" Best regards!

I also tried to connect to the panel with ProSave but it is the same. The connection can not be established. The firmware update must have done something to the panel so that it isn't connectable any more... I can ping the panel without problems, but can't do anything connection wise... I can't even factory reset it... with the Online&diagnostics function... Attachment transfer_err_ktp700_2.png (471 Downloads)

I opened another project in TIA portal v15.1 and tried to download this HMI project to the panel. It wanted to do the firmware update from version 13.0... something to 15.0...something. So I gave it a go and it upgraded the firmware and transferred the HMI project to the panel without problems. So then I upgraded my old v13 project to v15.1 and downloaded the project that I need to the panel and it downloaded without problems. So now on the panel I have the v15.1 version. The question is will the connection with the PLC that is still made with Tia porta v13 work? I think it should right? Cheers Aleix.

We worked often with a newer Version of the HMI with older PLCs(older TIA Projects). If you want to make a lik between the projects you can also use Prox<y device and proxy data to use an integrated connection. But It should also work ith V13-> I would do a Reset to factory settings with that panel in the needed OS Version Bye Murof
