I am using Technology Object as Positioning Axis. I have the Siemens G120 inverter and laser dalemeter DL100. Everytime I switch off power my dalemeter shows the same value, but Technology Object lost the value. Dalemeter shows good position and distance, but in technology object the value is much different after restarting power. I need to make homing again. I see option "Automatically data exchange with encoder (online)" is not avaible to set in the technology object configuration. Do you have any idea why it happens and why this option is not avaiable?

what devices exactly do you switch off? The encoder, the drive (with encoder connected to it), or the PLC?

Which mode have you done to do the homing of the encoder? Was this the one for absolute encoder adjustment?

When I say switch off I mean switch off whole system from the main cabinet. PLC, encoder and inverter are switched off. The encoder is not connected directly to the drive. The encoder is connected to the PLC.

I use a homing outside of technology object. I use MC_HOME function for that. MC_HOME mode is set to 7 (Absolute encoder adjustment, "Mode" = 6, 7).

After every restart of the main cabinet I have to do homing, because value of position in technology object is crazy. The dalemeter shows a good value.
