Hi Guys,

I am currently trying to install Step 7 V5.6 on new laptop running windows XP Professional versioon 2002 SP3.

I have dowloaded the installation file Step 7 V56 SP1 and am able to open setup file, it opens the simatic page and begins file extraction, once files are extracted it gives message install complete and does not run through the full set up, the Simatic manager or any other products cannot be found on the desktop or in any of the program or windows files, when opening the setup again it says that this is already installed.

Any help would be appreciated

I understand your situation differently, you have downloaded only SP1 installer but base package Step7 is required prior install your SP1.
