I am facing the problem that, i am controlling the timer value through analog input. But the timer value of FC40 "RET_VAL" is second, i tried many attempt but could not success to covert FC40 second value to milliseconds value. Please help me and see the attached picture.

FC40 receives a hexadecimal value of 16#23668 which represents 145000ms. The output of FC40 is an S5TIME value. It is correctly set at 2 minutes and 25 seconds.

The code is doing what has been programmed. Is your timer an S5 Timer or an IEC Timer? What is your expectation? Be specific, what in your process is not going according to your wants.

i need the output not minute and second, the output value i need in millisecond. I need the range of millisecond from 0 to 500ms according to the analog input. Yes you are right the FC40 is working ok, but i need the RET_VAL must be in millisecond or can i convert 2minute 25 second in millisecond

The challenges standing in the way of giving you an exact answer is that you are not providing exact information. It is unknown which analog input address you are using or what the code was doing previously to give MD25 a value. Perhaps it is good enough to not use the multiplication with 1000 (L#1000).

The format of the code will change a little bit when coded for Step7 V5.x -- therefore the notes.

See the attached picture. It shows a modification of the code shown in the original question. It does what the original question asked: the value is in ms units.

Note that S5#TIME cannot hold 1ms increments. The smallest increments is 10ms. See the link which Mr. Fritz shared.
