I have a problem with my inverter (SED2-5 5/35B 6SE6436 5BD25-5CAO)
The problem is P---- is display to my BOP..

"P----" is coming only when start command is given, then on display frequency blinks as normal, but drive does not get start. same also happens when start command given from drive monitor.

And then I'm trying to change to hand mode. it also appear

For everyone, do you know what fault or error is it? and how to check or repair my inverter
so that fault can't happen again?

1/ locate the cooling fan supply, the should be one inside the enclosure for circulation, and one or two fans on the heatsink, which will be ip54 rated.

Disconnect the connectors which supply the power, and see if the P display is correct?

2/ The run command for the drive should be terminal 5, apply 24 Volts here in relation to terminal 28, which is 0V, from a separate supply.

This diagnosis is based upon the supply board failing to maintain the Voltage. Disconnecting the fans removed some load from the supply board, and it may come up.

Now you will have inadequate cooling, a 24 Volt supply will also be required to supply the fans to keep the drive working. These drives are heavy to carry about so I hope this may avoid plant going down for some time.

If you can locate the DC supply board, I guess it could be repaired; I cannot recall where that is located, but follow the wires that may help. If you find it first replace any electrolytic capacitors and try again.

I have seen this fault in plant rooms which are excessively hot, in the region of 40 Deg. C. ambient; the drive has not a hope of surviving in these temperatures, it 'kills' the capacitors over time, but you installation may be different.

Hope this helps with a solution.

I experienced this same issue with a drive onsite and eventually trace the issue to a failed cooling fan, once fan was disconnected the drive would then run.

Sourced a non identical but close enough replacement (obviously same voltage) fan and after some small wiring modifications to make fit had the drive back up and running.

Initial power up displayed P- - - - - -  then cleared

Auto start command given P- - - - - -  then cleared but no run and reference just blinking

Manual start command given P- - - - - -  then cleared but no run and reference just blinking.
