G120 Positioning Issue

Padawan Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a problem with a G120 drive which I cannot find the solution to, every now and again it will not accept a position setpoint change. I have monitored the drive and I can see the position coming through via ProfiNet, and I can see the current setpoint the drive is using plus the position it is in. For all intent and purpose the drive has postioned exactly where it "thinks" it should be. Currently the system is enabled for continuous transfer of the setpoint, while in this state I can change the setpoint and get no response from the system unless I give it a little shake after which for some reason it takes off. If I trip the safety and restart the system it also traverses to the requested destination. Initially I thought it was an issue with the torque control because on the surface it was operating with "0.0 Nm" and have eliminated all these issues. After looking deeper I found the setpoint anomily. The registers I was monitoring to find the issue were r2665 - CO: EPOS position setpoint r2521[0] - CI-loop pos ctrl r2060[5] - Profidrive PZD receive double word 6+7 Looking through the flowcharts I am yet to find something that really stands out to me as being an issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Padawan Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the suggestion. The majority of the time it works fine and the positioning control well and truely exceeds the requirement we have. I am really trying to find that needle in the haystack, and get the reliability out of the system. I have gone through the process of checking all the relevant enables before updating values etc. And I started going down that path due to noticing F07490 seems to be occuring at the same time as this issue. However this appears to be the only fault code I am getting so I am finding it extremely difficult to diagnose beyond this point to determine what other mechanism is stopping the system. F07490 (N) EPOS: Enable signal withdrawn while traversing Drive object: All objects Reaction: OFF1 (OFF2, OFF3) Cause: - for a standard assignment, another fault may have occurred as a result of withdrawing the enable signals. - the drive is in the "switching on inhibited" state (for a standard assignment). Remedy: - set the enable signals or check the cause of the fault that first occurred and then result (for a standard assignment). - check the assignment to enable the basic positioning function. I have traced through all my enable signals and am 100% confident that they are all healthy.
