LOGO TD - how to disable screen changing

dzwilu Posts: 146 Rating: (4)	The problem is I'd like to make it impossible for the operator, to change the TD Display screens. What i mean is, if he presses any arrow-key, nothing should happen (The screen switches to clock, or some i/o monitoring). I cant find any option how to solve it Best regards dzwilu

LOGO!Barbarian Posts: 173 Rating: (95)	Hi dzwilu This seems to be the same sort of query that someone had on 27.05.2009 - check the threads below about disabling the buttons. There was a 'creative' if not destructive idea that this guy had - maybe you can use that too! There is no way in the programming to prevent the change of the screen when the cursor or ESC or OK buttons are pressed. Even if you use a LOGO! Pure with the new Text Display, the buttons on that will also cause other menu/navigation/status/clock screens to be shown. If you disable the buttons like the other guy said, then you could make a message that is always displayed by using a Message Text with either a 'hi' on the En input or double click the En input to invert it. Don't generate any other message texts that will show. Also set the priority of the message that you always want to show to the HIGHEST number (0 is the lowest priority and other messages will always take priority over it) Sorry for no other solution!

turbojenks Posts: 10 Rating: (2)	I agree, when a logo is used as a HMI it is succeptible to 'fiddlers' who like to explore where button pushing can take them!!. It would be nice to see Siemens offer more security when using it as HMI especially with the TD! which carries all the same functionality of 'cursor', 'esc' and 'ok'. Although I regard Logo as one of the top products on the market versus cost, it can still be improved with just a firmware/software modification. I look forward to the 0BA7, as the 6 and 5 releases were very impressive at the time and hopefully Seimens will continue to take customer feedback as they have with previous editions.
