Hello, i'm using TP1500 comfort with a S7 1500 and in i'm having the same problem.

the error description says: "The address of the tag '..' cannot be determined. Specify the address or re-establish the PLC connection with the connection name: 'HMI_Connection_2'.,,,3:20:13 PM.

I've already checked and the IP address i correct and the plc.

Split from Trouble connecting to HMI.

Same thing happened to me on TiA v17 Upd3.

I did:

1. export all hmi tags;
2. clear hmi tags;
3. clear PLC connection on HMI;
4. recreate PLC connection (with the same name);
5. import of the csv of exported tags.

Worked fine.

 This worked for me in v16! Thank you sir, you helped me avoid remapping over 800 tags. LOL

Does anyone know how or why this happens? I closed my working simulation and walked out to the tool and this got this error. I can't figure out the cause.

I just encountered the same error.

Above solution did not work for me,

I had to delete the DB that my tags were looking at, and recreate it in the PLC for it to work.

We're using WinCC RT Advanced and a 1507S

My guess would be that the plc program and HMI was originally compiled and downloaded so the DB were organized the way they should be.

Then there was some change offline to the DB or something affecting the DB and then the HMI was downloaded and now the address that the HMI tags were pointing to in the plc were no longer correct.

The plc needed a download for things to be correct again.

check the following:

HMI > Connections > Partner

In my case I changed the PLC name to the original name when the HMI-PLC connection was created and then the compilation of the HMI proyect went OK.

note: return your PLC name to your project requierements affter doing this (PROFINET functions relays on this name)

I had a same problem, and the above solutions not worked for me.

I just think it over ad I recomplied all the DB's (not deleted them), and now all O.K.
