Simatic Batch, Batch closing takes too long time.

After completing the process and performing the batch close, sometimes the batch close operation takes 7-8 minutes, while other times it takes up to 20 minutes. This 20-minute duration is too long and leads to time loss. How can I resolve this issue, or which areas should I check to troubleshoot the problem?

Oreca Platinum Expert Joined: 3/14/2008 Last visit: 12/28/2025 Posts: 2233 Rating: (987)	Hi, Maybe the following things can be the cause: The control recipe is active for a long time (more like a continuous process being processed) The amount of active batches (also means completed/aborted and closed batches) is too much. Batch has a limitation (about 1000 total) and then batch responds very slowly.
