Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to use the IoT2050 as a gateway that reads parameters from PROFIBUS Drives and send them over to a cloud edge device.

Has anyone implemented something similar?
How would one go about reading from the serial port? Is there a library for any programming language that can be used?

I was using a SIMATIC FDE Gateway for that purpose, but that product has been discontinued.

IOT2050 doesn't support PROFIBUS at the moment (as far as i know there are no plans to support it in the future).

You can use an adapter to transfer the PROFIBUS to USB/UART communication for example.
