Max connection to S7-1200 on TIA WinCC Pro 17 ?

khoatd Advanced Member Joined: 3/3/2011 Last visit: 12/17/2024 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, I'm facing a problem with my TIA WinCC Pro v17 application that's connected to 16 S7-1200 PLCs. While I can connect to all 16 PLCs individually, I'm only able to establish simultaneous connections with 14 of them. This is puzzling as the documentation states that a maximum of 64 connections should be supported. I'm seeking assistance in identifying the root cause of this limitation and finding a solution to allow all 16 PLCs to connect concurrently Looking forward to your help.

Do you have any license purchased to increase the communication of the RT Professional V17 with more PLCs? I believe that with the one that comes included you can communicate with 8 S7 PLCs. Then, in order to communicate and expand, you have to acquire softnet expansion licenses. Do you have any? Best regards!

Desktop OS like Win10/11 do only have a few network ressources. for bigger configuration you should use a Server OS Do you have installed SIMATIC Net PC SW? (and as already written you will need a full SIMATIC NET S7 Softnet license) Bye Murof
