We have built several machines, each controlled by its own PLC. While these machines are nearly identical, they need to have unique network names and IP addresses on our plant's network to function correctly.

Following the guidelines provided in this Siemens support article (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109744319), we were able to successfully change the IP addresses through programming. However, we encountered issues when trying to change the Profinet device names.

Has anyone here faced a similar challenge and found a solution to programmatically change the device names on Profinet? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated as we navigate this issue.

Which PLC, FW version and TIA Portal Version do you use?

Do you get any errors or what does ecactly not work?

Any entries in diagnostic buffer of the PLC?
