You can check in the released modules manual: SIMATIC Process Control System PCS 7 Released Modules (V10.0) I think also not included in the SIMATIC Manager packaged with PCS7 V10 release which is why its not in the Standard catalog area. If you must use this module you likely have to install HSP. |

Thank you for this solution! I have installed the HSP and this DO is now available. But I am facing another issue: After the DO address (e.g. Q2.2) is assigned to the Pcs7DiOu block, I did the CFC compile with "Generate module drivers", the compile is completed with warnings about the Block DO "No hardware found for symbol ABC with address Q2.2", and of course in the CFC this DO block doesn't have any connections with the Diagnostic block in the @(Nr.) chart. Any idea how to solve this problem? Thank you! |

Since the card is not in the released module list which I linked above, that is why the channel/module drivers are not connected. There is no way around this in the base product. Options: 1. Use a different (supported) module and figure out alternate electrical characteristics for your I/O devices. 2. Get it supported in PCS7: 2a. There used to be a service you could contract a division of Siemens to build customer channel driver library for non-supported devices as a paid service, I'm not sure if it still exists you can contact your sales channel to find out. 2b. Petitioning (and winning your case) with Siemens to support it in PCS7 natively. If you could successfully do this, it will take time and a new PCS7 release. I think this is a longshot. 3. If you must use this module due to electrical characteristics instead of using a supported module and not taking above routes then you have to live with the warnings forever. OR make a variant in your CMT to not have the PCS7 channel driver for Inputs from that card type and potentially build your own manual logic to bring in the input and detect faults since channel / module driver can't provide the data via @ charts. My personal opinion is to choose option 1, and if not electrically possible, then Option 3. |

You might be in more luck. In this particular case this IO card is subject to delivery release notice: You should be able configure the older module version (6ES7132-6BF00-0CA0) which is in the Release Modules list and insert the new module and should work ok. Sometimes you can get the maintenance message in HW config in this circumstance but the card still works otherwise. I'd expect the new part number to be automatically supported in 1-2 release cycles in this case. In other cases of not released modules, everything discussed earlier still applies. |
