Hello, I think, you are using S7-1200 Controller to do PID control... The "anti wind-up" functionality is working like it is written in the function manual of TCON_CP. You will find the manual using the following link...
...and you will find the Information in chapter 7.3.2.2. of the "integral Action" description of the controlling algorithm: With a limitation of the manipulated value, the integral action is stopped. With a control deviation that moves the integral action in the direction of an internal setting range, the integral action is released again. Sorry for that confusion. |

I find the description of the anti-windup implementation difficult to understand;
With reference to attached figure;
With reference to Integral Windup; is the implementation similar to "Integrator Clamping"? Thanks for your support! |
