Can you also post the model of your TR Electronics external encoder? For me it seems you have a 4096 steps per revolution encoder, not 8192.

Also if you use multiturn encoders you have to set to "Cyclic absolute". Otherwise multiple revolutions are not considered! The other settings in your project looked good. You said you already tried "Cyclic absolute" which looks to me you don't have 8192. If you got a 4096 encoder but configure the technological object to use 8192 and "Absolute" (which means single turn), after the first 4096 steps the encoder starts with 0 and the TO goes back to 0°. Please post your encoder model.

I have attached an image of the setting changes which were done.(Enabling Scaling Function) I am still not sure why it worked. I would love it if someone could share a manual that explains the scaling function for the encoder. I did refer to the two manual shared in this thread but could not find any relevant information.

i have the same issue as you. I want a 8192 by 4069 TR encoder (CEV582M) to show 0-360 degrees. One Turn on encoder = 360°.

but i super high resolution ( 1 turn = 0.175 deg ) even if it's a long time ago, could you share the project whit those settings that worked for you

For rotary application 0-360° just set "Rotary" in "Basic parameters" of TO and activate modulo Start=0 Lenght=360

Tests executed: (mechanics: linear leadscrew pitch 10mm = 1 encoder revolution)
- power on
- absolute encoder adjust via commisioning interface (position set = 0mm)
- power off and on again
- position is  0mm (ok)
- rotate encoder with hand to at least 1.5 rev (actual position = 10.501 mm)
- power off and on again
- position is: 10.501 mm (ok)
- power off
- rotate encoder by hand to at lease 1rev 
- power on
- position is: 20.780 mm (ok)
- absolute encoder adjustment with MC_Home instruction with parameter Mode = 7 (absolute encoder adjustment) and Position parameter = 0mm
- position is: 0mm
- power off and on again
- position is: 0 mm(ok)


Same with modulo type encoder.
