We recently bought a late 90s (97/98) Hyundai CNC lathe with Seimens 840c controls. It's been working decently for us but we have an issue now. Weeks ago I had decided to delete some program clutter from the previous owners (what appeared to be very basic parts). Starting the machine today there was an error, 110108 <There is no workpiece> STANDARD. I couldn't start any programs.

As a workaround I made an empty directory named 'standard' and the lathe was happy to boot... so far so good until I ran a file with a L98 drill cycle and the control can't continue (error 2401 program does not exist...).

I read an old response (2012)from Pee El Sea that connected the two dots but now I am seeking a working 'STANDARD' directory for subroutines. Alternately, ideas on where I might find the files I need.

I was surprised that the lathe had already recreated a job list (all in german) where every line was commented out. Reading a little more in the manual I believe that is the basic template job list for any directory.

Adding the LOADCYC STANDARD made the drill cycle functional again but I found I also needed the LOADCYC USER line to have a working tool measurement on the tool eye. Both were mentioned in your attached page.
