Problem in running Server Project

Ankit Experienced Member Joined: 2/18/2010 Last visit: 7/1/2025 Posts: 24 Rating: (1)	I have a PCS v7.0 SP1 project that is in commissioning phase. The architecture has 1 (non-redundant) server, 4 clients and 1 ES/ OS Client. There is one Plant Bus and one Terminal Bus. The AS is S7-400 H system. The Server has 2 Ethernet Cards and CP-1613 (plant Bus) and is running Windows Server 2003 R2. All the other computers are running Windows XP Professional SP2. Everything is configured on the ES. We transfer configuration to the OS Server via PLC>Configure and then PLC>Download. The Station Configuration editor on the Server shows everything running (green check mark) and there is no red cross on any status. Then we download the project on the OS Server. No problem up to now. Now, when we start the runtime on the Server, it shows disconnected. There is no communication with the AS. Strangely enough, there is a system message which shows the third Ethernet Card (the one not in use) as disconnected. ThatEthernetcard is disabled in Windows, it is not configured to be used anywhere, Simatic shell doesn't list that card, and it doesn't even show in Configuration Console. Aside that, the PH names are showing in the OS Area but all the block icons in all the pictures are grayed out. Another problem is that when we try to use the "Start OS Simulation" option on the ES, the runtime doesn't show any PH name in the OS Area. The Message line says "Not Active" and there are just plain buttons (without any text) on the OS Area. Even the lower strip of buttons don't work. So we have to open the WinCC Explorer to deactivate the runtime. Help please!

Check your Server & AS connection in the Netpro configuration through Online status Should be: Setup otherwise do once "OS Compile" and download to Server.

Besides IE General is connected to the Terminal Bus. The Server connects the AS through CP-1613 connected to the Plant Bus, which has absolutely no visible problem.

zerepegro Posts: 183 Rating: (8)	Hello Ankit; First of all is very strange what you say about start OS simulation. I would try save with reorganization (slow). What can you see in on-line state of S7 failsafe redundant connections?
